Dame Jennifer Jenkins DBE
Appointed as a Trustee in 1995, Dame Jennifer Jenkins DBE was Chairman of the Trustees of the Civic Trust until 1995. She served as President until her retirement in 2005.
With a long and successful career, Dame Jennifer worked for the Ministry of Labour (now the Policy Studies Institute) in the 1940s. Later in her career she chaired the Consumers Association (1965 – 1976), the North Kensington Amenity Trust (1974 – 1977) and the Historic Buildings Council for England (1975 – 1984). She is an Honorary Fellow of both the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors and the Royal Institute of British Architects.
