New Addington Action Plan

A team, including the Civic Trust working with Stuart Woodin of CPUR (Community Participation in Urban Regeneration), was appointed to develop a community-led Action Plan for their Neighbourhood Renewal Area (NRA) of New Addington, a post-war estate in the Green Belt.

Using the Open Space technique to set the community agenda at an Action Planning Day, the Action Plan was drawn up and added to through outreach, interviews, Focus Groups, and widely circulated in draft for comment. The Action Plan encapsulated the perceived community priorities under the Government Floor Targets for improved health, education, employment, housing, environment and community safety.
