CTRU was commissioned to undertake the year 3 evaluation of the health, education and employment themes for Southampton's NDC.

The report found evidence of much good practice on the ground, but still a tendency to focus on project outputs rather than the longer term, higher level programme outcomes. The team concluded that this was partly a hangover from previous regeneration programmes, such as the Single Regeneration Budget (SRB), but that lack of joined up working between agencies at policy and delivery levels was also a contributory factor that needed to be addressed.
