Action Research

The Civic Trust won a bid to ODPM for funds to carry out a three year research programme into the planning, development and management of the evening and late night economies.

Each year of the programme is looking at the different perceptions of the main stakeholder groups:

• local authorities,
• private developers,
• the entertainment industry and
• consumers.

The work includes formal surveys and research, case studies and illustrations, publications, national conferences, and the preparation of good practice guidelines for use by local authorities and town centre partnerships.
