Community Gems
supported by the Gulbenkian Foundation

Funding from the Gulbenkian Foundation allowed CTRU to support 5 community-led projects to overcome hurdles and move their projects forward. The technical assistance provided included workshops, business planning, organisational management and funding advice. The output was a publicity brochure for each project which acted as a report to new and existing funders as well.

The Gulbenkian Foundation had not previously supported projects that had environmental improvement specifically as their aim, and this was a pilot to trial an approach.
